Hard to give a numerical rating to an album like this. Obviously deeply personal lyrics, primarily dealing with grief, and the loss of her father. The usual Bridgers melancholy is here, with sprinkles of optimism throughout out. It makes for an engaging listen, even if I'm not huge on all of the components individually. It's a great album, not something I see myself often returning to though. Favourite Tracks: - Kill Me - The Governers Waltz - Lost Weekend - Haunted - Still Standing - I Can't Wait - As Above
Loving the songwriting and production on this, specifically in the first half. The second half has some forgettable moments, and although I don't think I will come back to this record a lot, it makes for great focus music in the background of work I've been doing so it earned a place in that playlist for me.
