Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy

Yung Lean

Not much to say honestly it's a pretty decent album. The flow is good, and so are the beats, as per usual with Yung Lean for me. This might just be me, but this album honestly feels slower and tamer compared to the rest of his discography, which I'm open to.

Among My Swan

Among My Swan

Mazzy Star

I definitely need this type of serenity in my life. I love this album for its simplicity the instrumentals are so simple yet so satisfying to listen to. The vocals of Sandoval are immaculate, and I could listen to them for hours. Honestly, going into this artist blindly, I expected it to be super depressing and melancholic, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how relaxing the band's sound is. I am mesmerized by this band I don't think there was a single bad track on this entire album. This album was sort of a reminder for me that I can sit back and take it slow in this chaotic life we live in.

Phase 3

Phase 3

Daikaiju

Absolutely love the sound on this album, and it definitely makes me want to check out more of Daikaju's discography. The sound is unique and feels like it's ever-changing on the album. After the first track on the album, you're basically thrown into the deep waters with Spiral Serpent Strike, which has got to be my favorite track on the entire album, honestly. But some songs do unfortunately feel stale for me overall definitely not a bad surf album and has some really great songs that I'll definitely be coming back to.

We're Not Here to Be Loved

We're Not Here to Be Loved

Fleshwater

Decent at best. Maybe I just don't get it, but this album is fine at best for me. It's not a bad album by any means. I liked the mix of shoegaze vocals and metal instrumental's, but I often found the vocal's drowning out most the instrumentals. Overall it's not bad it's just not for me. In terms of which tracks I'd actually put on and play I'd have to say Linda Claire and Foreign.

Darwin's Waiting Room

Darwin's Waiting Room

Decent sound, Repetitive. Decent but repetitive I would only willingly put on the following 5 tracks outside the album : JKG, Revolver, Breathe, She Shoots, Force to fit. Breath is the only track that is actually unique as to what u usually hear in this album it's melancholic has good vocals it's a decent track. The band in my opinion had a lot of potential on this album they certainly didn't sound like amateurs in the instrumental or the vocals, maybe their other works are better but, overall I'm pretty disappointed with this album.

A Handful of Nuggs

A Handful of Nuggs

Primus

Unc still got it ❤️‍🩹 Absolutely love the vocals on The ol' Grizz super recognizable instrumental that I could instantly blindly attribute to the tone of Primus, I also like the little "impromptu" section they had at around the 2 minute 50 mark where they cut off the instrumental for a second and started playing something basically completely different, and they go right back to what they were playing beforehand, Kinda random lmao but not surprised it is Primus after all Holy Diver was pretty unique with Michael Geier being on vocals I would say it mostly fit the aesthetics of Primus's sound, but it still felt a bit out of place that's not to say I didn't enjoy it, it was still a very good track and I'm open to the band doing a collab with the guy I am genuinely confused as to why Little Lord Fentanyl was included in this EP since it released as a single in 2025 I'm guessing the band wanted to promote this song aswell on the EP? Overall a good sound I absolutely LOVE the vocals on little lord fentanyl The inclusion of a live performance of Duchess from the brown album was pretty dope too and it was a great performance

The First Rape in Space

The First Rape in Space

Alien Fucker

The album features some wonderful synth work and has a pretty unique sound which I appreciate, adding onto the fact that this is a one-man band and this was his FIRST album it's lowkey amazing The person behind Alien Fucker is a pro-Palestinian Israeli so another dub for the guy Overall for an album that is literally only 14 minutes long it leaves a lasting impression and makes me want to come back for more

Sailing The Seas Of Cheese

Primus

Discovered Primus through a friend showing me a live performance of Tommy The Cat in school. I had never seen nor heard anything like the performance of Les Claypool his hands were fast, and he was doing techniques I didn't even know were possible on bass went home sat down on my laptop and listened to this album fully I was blown away and introduced to the wacky world of Funk-Rock.
