A couple great songs, the first half is pretty good but there are a few forgettable songs in the second half.

It’s a pleasant listening experience, and while there isn’t anything to really hate about this album, it can get a bit boring and the lyrics are sometimes cringe. Steve Lacy is clearly talented and knows how to make genre-evolving tracks, but I missed much of that on here.

To preface this, I haven't listened to any of the previous versions or leaks of this album. @seansharp put it very well, I wouldn't call this a bad album whatsoever, and I appreciate the drawback to these synthy beats and soul samples. Not bad, but there's just not as much variation in production as in his earlier stuff, it seems like he played it safe on this one. I love "Up from Here" though, great track

Catchy but not original, sometimes too corny even if its intentional

Honestly, overhated

I don’t really get the hype tbh. I like the production a lot but it doesn’t really do much for me in the context of the album

Not really feeling a lot of growth from Dave on this one. Maybe I need to listen a few more times to get it.
