A couple great songs, the first half is pretty good but there are a few forgettable songs in the second half.
Phoebe Bridgers
Loving the songwriting and production on this, specifically in the first half. The second half has some forgettable moments, and although I don't think I will come back to this record a lot, it makes for great focus music in the background of work I've been doing so it earned a place in that playlis…
Ariana Grande
Very impressed with this album, I really haven't heard music like this being performed before. Production is great, as a drums guy I got my money's worth for sure. All in all I don't love every song but this will definitely be in rotation for me!
Daniel Caesar
I feel like this album gets a lot of shade from being compared to Freudian. While Freudian is also the better album to me, Case Study 01 is underrated. There are some lows on this album but the highs are very high. 'Too deep to turn back' is still one of my all time favourite Daniel Caesar songs
Charli xcx
Love the instrumentals on here and Charli’s songwriting is on big display again. As an album, though, I feel the songs are a little short. I’ve been a fan of her genre switch-ups in between projects and I think the indie-rock lane suits her well. Can’t wait to hear some songs off here live in Septe…
Steve Lacy
It’s a pleasant listening experience, and while there isn’t anything to really hate about this album, it can get a bit boring and the lyrics are sometimes cringe. Steve Lacy is clearly talented and knows how to make genre-evolving tracks, but I missed much of that on here.
Madonna
Actually not bad, I wasn’t expecting this. Some of the best Madonna songs in decades, and I wouldn’t say anything on here is weak. I especially love the bridges. Danceteria might be the catchiest song she’s ever made
oskar med k
Not really a traditional house music fan but oskar's sound is really addicting and this collection of tracks is nicely done. He does sometimes overuse a specific song structure but I guess that's better for his sets. I saw him live last week and I have to say this guy knows how to make good music s…
horsegiirL
An easy going electropop album never hurt anyone. Sometimes it gets a little too tryhard on the “trying badly to be party music” but overall it’s still enjoyable and I can see myself coming back to a majority of the songs
Death Cab for Cutie
Not really my thing, couldn’t bring myself to listen to the project more than twice, it’s just that stale.
Olivia Rodrigo
Love this! Not a single bad track on here, and even more relatable than her previous albums (as a guy in his mid 20s)
Kim Petras
What a ride this is!! Everything on here just works so well. The post hyperpop vibe really shines and working with Frost Children and others really fits her vocals well. While the project is not really cohesive and tracks are mixed and matched more in the style of an EP to me, this (un?)intentionall…
Boards of Canada
It’s a nice, calm, vibey project. I would love to call it more than that, because the production quality is amazing, but maybe my brain is too rotten from all the synthpop I’ve been listening to recently. Still, I can appreciate the ambient feel and putting it on in the background of whatever you’…
