Ariana Grande
Very impressed with this album, I really haven't heard music like this being performed before. Production is great, as a drums guy I got my money's worth for sure. All in all I don't love every song but this will definitely be in rotation for me!
Daniel Caesar
I feel like this album gets a lot of shade from being compared to Freudian. While Freudian is also the better album to me, Case Study 01 is underrated. There are some lows on this album but the highs are very high. 'Too deep to turn back' is still one of my all time favourite Daniel Caesar songs
Madonna
Actually not bad, I wasn’t expecting this. Some of the best Madonna songs in decades, and I wouldn’t say anything on here is weak. I especially love the bridges. Danceteria might be the catchiest song she’s ever made
oskar med k
Not really a traditional house music fan but oskar's sound is really addicting and this collection of tracks is nicely done. He does sometimes overuse a specific song structure but I guess that's better for his sets. I saw him live last week and I have to say this guy knows how to make good music s…
horsegiirL
An easy going electropop album never hurt anyone. Sometimes it gets a little too tryhard on the “trying badly to be party music” but overall it’s still enjoyable and I can see myself coming back to a majority of the songs
Drake
I'm really impressed with this album. First off, the production is amazing, I really love the heavy synths on this specifically. Drake airs out a lot of emotions and with most songs, I was instantly engaged which is normally pretty rare with first listens to Drake albums. This album would have b…
glaive, kurtains
This album has a lot of sounds and styles, and I think the highlights of this one are amazing. The Band, Spinning Around, Weston Super Mare are my favourites after a few listens, but there are some songs that kinda feel uninteresting to me like Yaya Toure. Still, there is a lot to process in an albu…
Gunnr
I hear from a lot of people that Gunnr is a style biter and while this sound does sound similar to the likes of 2hollis etc., I don’t mind it at all. That being said there’s still a lot of artistic uniqueness in some songs and these are also the ones I enjoy the most.
Jack Harlow
Love the direction Mr. Harlow went with for this pretty short album. While the reactions online are pretty funny, I like that so far we all (more or less) think this is his best work. I haven’t listened to a lot of slow music lately so this was a welcome surprise. Still, after a few listens it fee…
kurtains
Really nice exploration of sounds and genres here, I thought kurtains would be more popular than he is right now.
Charli xcx
I wouldn't say this sounded like brat, it sounds like she's going further down the road to her charli album, think "white mercedes" etc. These tracks actually made me wanna go watch the movie (or read the book) so hollywood pay this girl a little more for next time! I think 'House' is a classic by…
Baby Keem
Bottom half of the album is amazing, top half of the album is not really what I want from Baby Keem, but it's fine in a way where I wouldn't skip any songs if I was listening in the background. I like that he kept it short with this one.
Maxwell
His voice is a little generic and doesn’t really have a lot of character, but the overall mood of the album is so groovy it doesn’t really matter. I loved it when I first heard it a few years back, and now coming back to it the hype kinda wore off. Still an amazing album that I will for sure spin in…
Jane Remover
One of the most positively confusing first listens ever
Olivia Dean
Breath of fresh air with this album, but very short-lived as I think if she keeps this style going it will get boring fast
After
Deep Diving got recommended to me and the entire EP sounds pretty awesome too in comparison! Very 2010s sounding, it’s like if Owl City made a mixtape with songs just like Fireflies
Frost Children
I’m pretty new to electronic music but I’m glad I got into it, this is pure energy!!
